Terms & Conditions

Last updated May 3, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using CardStack (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Informational purpose only

CardStack is an independent, informational comparison tool for Canadian credit cards. Content on the Site, including rankings, calculations, point valuations, and category winners, is provided for general information and educational purposes only. It is not financial, tax, legal, or investment advice, and is not a recommendation to apply for, hold, or close any specific product.

3. Accuracy and your responsibility to verify

Card features, fees, earn rates, caps, credits, and bonus offers change frequently and may differ by applicant, region, or promotion. While we make reasonable efforts to reflect publicly available issuer information, we do not warrant that any data on the Site is current, complete, or error-free.

Before applying for or relying on any product, you must verify all terms directly with the card issuer.

4. Personal assumptions

The Site lets you enter spending assumptions and point-value preferences to personalize rankings. These inputs are stored locally in your browser. Outputs depend entirely on the assumptions you provide and on the underlying card data; small changes in inputs can materially change results.

5. No warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardStack and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any decision made in reliance on it.

7. External links

The Site may link to third-party websites operated by card issuers or other parties. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site.

8. Intellectual property

All original content on the Site — including the methodology, written analysis, rankings, layout, and visual design — is owned by CardStack and protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. Card names, logos, and product trademarks belong to their respective issuers.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to scrape, reverse-engineer, resell, or use the Site or its data in any way that interferes with its operation or violates applicable law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
